Build-a-Tech Incubator & Workspace is a hardware technology accelerator with a mission to equip start-ups with cutting-edge resources, tailored mentorship, and practical tools that help innovators build impactful tech products. BASIC JOB FUNCTION:
Design and produce high-quality visual materials that communicate Build-a-Tech’s programmes, projects, and impact effectively across digital and print platforms.
CLASSIFICATION: Creative / Technical Personnel
JOB TYPE: On-Site / Full-Time
WORK HOURS:
SHIFT A: 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM
SHIFT B: 09:00 AM – 05:00 PM
SHIFT C: 10:00 AM – 06:00 PM
Saturday : 09:00 AM – 05:00 PM (1 Saturday / month)
SALARY: ₦100,000 to ₦150,000 Monthly, determined by relevant years of experience, qualifications, and education
LOCATION: Uyo, Akwa Ibom
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
● Design fliers, posters, banners, and other promotional materials.
● Develop brochures, pitch decks, programme reports, and branded documents.
● Design and format grant reports, impact documents, and technical publications.
● Ensure consistency with Build-a-Tech’s brand identity across all outputs.
● Prepare print-ready files and manage digital export specifications.
● Collaborate with technical and programme teams to translate complex information into clear visual communication.
● Maintain organized design files and version control for projects.
REQUIRED SKILLS
● Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat.
● Strong layout and typography skills.
● Experience designing multi-page documents (reports, proposals, brochures).
● Ability to work with brand guidelines and visual systems.
● Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
OPTIONAL
● Experience with motion graphics (After Effects or Premiere Pro).
● Familiarity with Canva or lightweight social media design tools.
● Basic understanding of print production processes.
● Photography or basic photo editing skills.
EDUCATION
Experience and proficiency in the above Duties & Responsibilities and Required Skills sections will be weighed above any educational qualifications. Applicants not possessing formal degrees should not be discouraged from applying.
It is preferred that applicants possess a degree or certification in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
